Has Cameroon escaped further attack by Bakassi, a peninsula in the Southwest Region? It is hoped that the truth will be known at the end of the investigation opened by the sleuthing of the National Gendarmerie to build public opinion on the identity and nationality of suspects and the destination of war materials intercepted by the Navy on the night of Friday 07 September 2018 off Bakassi.

Indeed, in the night from 06 to 07 September, the elements of the Navy intercepted three boats carrying 43 men and war materials.

“The patrol surprised them in a no-go area for some activities like fishing. They tried in vain to escape, before being finally mastered by our elements. During the search, we found a large amount of money, firearms and ammunition, “

says a security source.
The three intercepted boats are currently at the wharf of the Limbe Shipyard, a seaside town in the South West Region. And the 43 men who were on board these ships are in the hands of the national gendarmerie.
