The ex-captain of the Indomitable Lions announced this on September 28, 2018 in Meyomessala where he participated in CPDM meeting for the 2018 presidential election.
Rigobert Song Bahanag was one of the curiosities of the meeting organized in the district of Dja and Lobo by the chairman of the coordinating committee of the CPDM campaign in the department, Louis Paul Motaze. Known until then as belonging to no political side, Rigobert Song surprised many by proudly wearing the scarf of the Cameroon People Democratic Movement (CPDM).
” My presence here in the place of origin of the Head of State is to thank this father. He really showed paternity to me by putting at my disposal a plane that brought me and brought me back so that you could see me as I am after the serious illness”
Said the former footballer
Continuing his testimony, the Captain said
” I want to thank him because in life, when some renders you a service, you must have the honesty to recognize it. I also want to take the opportunity to say that I have been captain of Indomitable Lions for long. Eleven years, captain of the national team of Cameroon, it is not who wants, but who can. The President of the Republic has always supported us. Why do you want that if he needs us, we are not here. I support President Paul Biya 100%. “
Speaking to his “brothers and sisters” of Meyomessala, he then invited them to “support him to go together further”. According to the newspaper, this appeal by Rigobert Song also did not obscure the announcement made about starting on October 1, the construction of 10 drinking water supplies in 35 villages in the district of Meyomessala.
The 6-month project is supposed to end in April 2019, we learn. These include the construction of water towers, standpipes, discharge and distribution networks, etc.
