A Police Inspector in Mutengene was caught with large quantity of ammunitions and light weapons.

This happened yesterday May 11 according to tweets from one of Cameroon’s top journalists Elie Smith who is also reporting on the current crisis in the North West and south West regions. A police inspector in charge of armory in the police college in Mutengene( south west region) was caught with large quantity of ammunition.

An Inspector of police,name not disclosed, in charge of the armory of the Police College (CIAP) in Mutengene was caught with bags of 5000 rounds of FAL ammunition,300 pistol (9mm) ammunition and 700 assorted ammunition for other light arms. Total is 6000 ammunition

In the beginning, authorities withheld his identity and latter in the day, a note was signed suspending the inspector. We finally got his name as Ebombe Mbella Rodrigue and he was suspended for illegally selling bad ammunitions in the black market. Below is the note.
