Cameroon Confirms first case of Corona Virus (Covid-19).

The deadly Corona (Covid-19) virus is in Cameroon according to the ministry of Public Health. The virus was detected in a 58 years old French man who arrived Yaoundé on the 24th of February 2020.
The Government reassures that everything is being done to contain this case of importation of the coronavirus. There is no reason to panic. The situation remains under control. The populations must simply continue to observe the usual rules of hygiene pic.twitter.com/XSQQ48Lr3O

This case was detected thanks to the active surveillance put in place by the Government. The Fench man is place in solitary confinement in the Care Centre of the Yaoundé Central Hospital.
Cameroon is the latest African country to confirm a case of Covid-19 after South Africa, Senegal, Nigeria, Egypt, Tunisia and Algeria. Most of the people affected are foreigners.
