University of Yaoundé 1 partially suspend classes to avoid the spread of Corona Virus.

The Rector of The University of Yaoundé 1 has decided to partially suspend Classes and other related activities to avoid the spread of the deadly virus Covid-19.

A meeting held yesterday March 16th between the rector of the University, his close collaborators and Virologists was aimed at bringing solutions to fight against the pandemic. They unanimously decided to partially suspend classes in the institution from March 17th to April 13th 2020.

Everyone is called on to respect basic hygiene prescribe by the World Health Organisation to stop the spread of the Virus.

Cameroon has recorded five cases in two weeks. The first two patients tested positive are now healed according to state media CRTV.

The Prime minister will this morning chair a crisis meeting related to the management of the pandemic in Cameroon.
