Governors of the 10 regions had a meeting with Minister Atanga Nji in Yaounde. Check the outcome

Governors of the ten regions of Cameroon met in Yaounde on the 10th to 11th of September, 2018 with the minister of territorial administration Atanga Nji Paul. The meeting was purposely to discuss on how 7th October 2018 presidential elections will take place in Cameroon following the ongoing crisis. The theme of this administrative gathering was : “Administrative Authority and Securing the Electoral Process”,
The government instructed the governors of the ten regions of the country, to take all necessary means for a successful conduct of the presidential election come 07 October 2018 in their respective regions .
“Mr. Governors, ensure the safe supervision of all candidates in the presidential election, especially those who will be deployed in the North West and South West Regions. To this end, I invite the candidates to this ballot to kindly send to the governors, Senior divisional officers and divisional officers of these two Regions, the precise calendar of their descent on the ground “demanded Paul Atanga Nji, the minister of the territorial administration.
Regarding the South West and North West, the two regions that have been facing a serious security crisis for nearly two years, he said “the government has decided to hold the pollings in the 360 sub divisions that count Cameroon without exception. He however added that there shall be the protection of all candidates who will deploy on the ground” to challenge English speaking secessionists who announced the disruption of the election with terrorist attacks.
Other resolutions were taken for the smooth running of the school year which started on 3th of September, 2018 with disturbances in the English speaking regions and the improvement of the implementation rate of public investment budget projects in the Southern Regions, West and North West.
