Quick and Easy – Exfoliate & Repair Skin Now

Hi Guy’s! So I’ve officially decide to post weekly beauty tips every Tuesday; and if you would like to learn new tricks and tips, visit E-kwat’s beauty page every Tuesday. I also welcome your suggestions for beauty topics you would like me to cover and I will offer my guidance and product review.

In this week’s column, I am going to let you in on a cost effective homemade exfoliant to help soften your palms and achieve smooth skin.

Some of us went to boarding schools and left with blisters that gave us tough palms; other, regular house chores left their palms dry, chapped and tough. There are many hand creams on the market to help keep you hands moisturised and soft; however, this comes at a price. Don’t worry, your solution is here, it is also easy, cheap and not time consuming at all… (Tested and verified😉)

Follow the steps below and let me know how your hands feel afterwards. Try and do this as often  as you can in order to repair and maintain soft, healthy hands.

You will need:

  • Un-granulated sugar
  • Olive oil or Vegetable oil

Step 1: Place a fair amount of sugar on your palms.

Step 2: Add about 2tps of Olive oil or Vegetable oil.

Step 3:

Massage your palms with the mixture for 2 -3 minutes. Don’t forget to massage the back of your hands and the crease between your fingers.PhotoGrid_1462904359046

Step 4:

Rinse your hands in warm water.  Voila!

That’s your cheap home remedy to exfoliate your hands. To further achieve your goal to getting soft hands, wash you has soap after exfoliating, dry your hands and moisturise. Please use suitable products for your skin type, (if you generally have dry skin, you will need to use a moisturising cream that will provide you enough moisture; and if you have oily skin, use a moisturiser for oily skin so you’re palms are not left oily and sweaty. If you have a combination of dry and oily skin again use a product for this skin type.)
