It is in a tweet of “20 Minutes” quickly removed that the Cameroonian international, new member of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is presented as a “Machin Truc” or “stuff” in English.
These words of the French newspaper “20 minutes”, in full media lynching against “emigrants” deliberately described Choupo-Moting as “immigrants” which aroused the anger of Internet users. They twitted “Mercato: Choupo Machin truc au PSG …”.
Many Internet users see it as “racist”, while others call it a “skid” regrettable. The tweet was later deleted.
As a reminder, the Cameroonian international Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, which totals 204 matches in the Bundesliga, 30 Premier League games, and 27 matches of competitions, including 11 Champion League, has committed for 3 years with PSG.
The 29-year-old played in the 2010 and 2014 World Cups and the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
With the Indomitable Lions, he has 45 caps for 13 goals. He was selected by Clarence Seedorf for the next match against Comoros.
